ModArts Dance Collective artistically represents an adoration and joy for movement that transcends race, gender, and socio-economic backgrounds.
ModArts Dance Collective (MADC) has a dual purpose: to expose and educate dance to people from all walks of life through classes, workshops, and residencies. Arts In Motion (AIM), one of MADC’s programs housed at Harlem Holistic Center, gives students 2.5-6 the gift of ballet and creative movement. Exposure to the arts within the first six years has been scientifically proven to assist in building gross/motor skills, coordination, importance of physical health/fitness, leadership/team building skills, and a self assured sense of self.”
