Alice Lousen is a dance artist and environmental enthusiast who strives to create relevant and poignant choreographic work, exploring how internal movement relates to the world around us. Recently graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a BFA in Dance and BA in Environmental Studies, Alice is always seeking opportunities to create dance art while better understanding how her own creative process evolves.
Drawing inspiration from a musical score by the iconic 70’s funk band The Meters, Mutual Periphery is an exploration of how experiences accumulate within a person. Reflecting the accumulation and dissipation of experiences in life, five dancers groove while weaving through the space and their relationships to each other.
