Sourabhi Sen
Sourabhi Sen is a Kathak dancer, creative dance composer, and founder of Dhoon Dance. Trained under renowned artists including Guru Pranab Sanyal, Anjani Ambegaokar, and Dr. Tina Tambe, and having done workshops under legends like Pt. Birju Maharaj, Professor Amita Dutta, Geetanjali Lal, she blends classical Indian technique with contemporary expression. Her choreographic work bridges traditional storytelling and musical innovation, with performances across U.S., India, and Greece. As a Featured Artist recognized by the City of LA’s Department of Cultural Affairs, affiliated member of US National Honors Society for Dance, UNESCO-affiliated International Dance Council, and Sarvabharatia Sangeet Sanskriti Parishad India, she leads a growing community of students, offering honors program, tests, and certifications, with students from 4 different counties in SoCal. Beyond technique, she trains her students to become leaders of tomorrow by using dance for social good—organizing fundraisers, performing arts initiatives and projects that connect underserved communities with the healing power of movement. Her artistic mission is to preserve the beauty of Indian dances while making it meaningful and inclusive for global audiences.
