Hazel Clarke – Kairos Dance Company
Kairos Dance Company (est. 2006) uses dance as a platform to build social awareness. The piece shown at the San Pedro Festival of the Arts is called Paradigm and focuses on Social Media and its effects on our young people today. Kairos has performed in various venues in L.A., Palm Desert, San Francisco, Las Vegas, NV, Denver, CO, and Ogden, UT. A finalist for the Palm Desert Dance Under the Stars Choreography Festival in 2007 and 2009, Hazel won the 2013 Rocky Mountain Choreography Festival and 2015 sjDANCEco ChoreoFest Audience Choice Award. 2018 performances include Awakenings and Beginnings Dance Festival, the Kairos debut “Paradigm” at Kairos Tim’s Robbins’ Actors’ Gang, and Orange County Dance Festival. Recent musical theatre choreography credits include the LA Times’ Critic’s Choice of Chance Theater’s “A Chorus Line” and “Sheila Callaghan’s Elevada”, and Right Angle Entertainment’s National Tour of “Musical Thrones: A Parody of Ice and Fire”. www.kairosdancecompany.com
