Kaitlyn McKinney

Kait’s passion for dance and journey with bodywork go hand in hand.

Kait grew up dancing in Austin, Texas, training and competing in various styles to earn the title of Texas Solo Dance Champion. Traveling and connecting with larger communities and cultures through dance and movement has always inspired Kait throughout her career. She has studied with internationally recognized groups like the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes in New York City and the Royal Danish Ballet in Copenhagen, Denmark. More recently, Kait has benefitted from working with esteemed choreographers such as Juliano Nunes, Florian Lochner, and Alice Klock at Orsolina28 in Moncalvo, Italy.

In 2017 Kait moved from Austin, Texas to Los Angeles, California to study dance at the collegiate level. During her studies at the California Institute of the Arts, she enjoyed performing “Falling Angels” by Jiri Kylian and “FAR” by Wayne McGregor along with other pieces created by students and faculty. She performed all around Los Angeles at venues such as REDCAT, LADP, Hauser & Wirth, the Lund theater, and even in front of the Walt Disney Concert Hall. She graduated from the California Institute of the Arts in December of 2020 with her BFA degree in Dance as well as two minors- one in Anatomy and the other in Humanities. The knowledge that she gained from this experience cumulates into the work that she does within her community.
