Shenandoah Harris was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. She received her BFA in Dance from University California, Santa Barbara in 2016. In her senior year she was invited to be a member of the UCSB Dance Company, which toured nationally and internationally through Cyprus, Prague and Italy. Shenandoah received a second degree in Theater Production and currently works as a Designer in LA. Shenandoah founded Psychopomp Dance Theater in 2017. Shenandoah’s work has been shown at ACDA 2016, Cal Arts University and the 2017 Susan G. Komen fundraiser at LMU. Shenandoah was also a resident artist through the Dance Resource Center’s 2017 Terra Nova Residency. Shenandoah’s work is collaborative, seeking to break the habitual and familiarized ways our bodies move. She investigates innovative, athletic and authentically spiritual movement qualities that are conceptually based on larger struggles and complexities in our existence.
