SINDHOOR NATYA – NAVARASA –led by Dr. Aparna Sindhoor, Anil Natyaveda and S M Raju, creates and tours around the world their unique style of theater called Sindhoor Natya.. Their work is inspired by their deep training in Kalari martial arts, Bharatanatyam, theater forms, Yoga, and acrobatics. They have performed at the Bates Dance Festival, East West Players, Asian Art Museum, UCSB, San Pedro Dance Festival and Wellesley College. They have choreographed for films and have worked with Oscar winner Anthony Dod Mantle and Cirque du soleil famed Franco Dragone’. Their “Dance for Everyone” program offers free training for 200 people in India and USA. Recently they toured in Jamaica. They teach in the Los Angeles, San Jose, and online. Sindhoor Natya Center for the Arts is the primary institution for Kalari and Mysore Style Bharatanatyam in North America. www.navarasa.org
