These Poems: is a dance theater work inspired by a poem by June Jordan and S M Raju. Original movement vocabulary created by Sindhoor and Natyaveda is inspired by Indian classical dances, Indian martial arts (Kalari) along with live singing and breath. The piece explores the beauty of art that rises above everything in times of great need. Dance, like poetry, helps us rise even when the world is pulling us down. Original music by George Brooks.
